We (PNME) are on joint ventures with Amity Foundations in China.
Amity is the social service arm of the China Christian Council.
We are connected to the Annual Easter Tour. The goal of this project is to bring interested supporters to visit their many projects all over China.  Please join us for our June 2009 trip!  Check back for more information.
The people there were so grateful that we were treated like royalties upon arrival and escorted throughout.
This year’s focus was in Inner Mongolia.
Throughout our trip we were greeted by the local Christian Council leaders – which often times included students from the Huangshan Oral Language Program.
We visited many churches, seminaries, senior facilities, and special programs such as Autism schools and HIV/AIDS education.
Amity’s big project in Inner Mongolia is the reclamation of the grasslands  through their irrigation projects. We also met the local sheep and potato farmers.
PNME’s goals:
Hugh Wire: we are “to build face to face relationships and open new opportunities for involvement in China.”
Together with Amity we aim for the Education part of our group’s name, with a piggy-back onto Amity tours to include places that will help us understand China better. This year we added Shandong – the birthplace of Confucius, China’s cultural foundation.
Leading into the Mission part:
We are in the process with a follow through by raising support for seminaries and pastors in China. We are looking forward to extend the support to Yunnan next year.
Some of you may already know of the Lisu brothers from the Bible Exhibition.
Andrew and Daniel are great examples of the dedicated Christians among the minorities in Yunnan. Their needs are great, but their love of the Lord is greater.
They’ve been willing to take 7 weeks - which included a full week’s journey - just to learn a 3rd language so they can communicate with the rest of the world.

So we’ve set up a Scholarship Fund, to raise funds so unpaid preachers such as these can complete their training, as well as to send their children (future Christian leaders) to proper schools.
Four of their tribe have recorded an album of their personal songs, sung in their Lisu language (available for $10 purchase).
