SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE PASTOR TRAINING PROGRAMS OF THE CHINA CHRISTIAN COUNCIL
A fund of $2000 is being generated to provide modest but tangible affirmations of the ecumenical commitments of some emerging church leaders in China. These leaders are giving up their summers to learn English at a church retreat center in Huang Shan, China, with foreign volunteer teachers.
We encourage you to read more, and then joining us in contributing to this way of welcoming the reach of young Christian leaders toward the rest of us.
The importance these Chinese church leaders give to learning English
Their commitment.
Our response. Modest scholarships will help with the costs of travel and of books to take back. Funds will be administered in China by Ms Chung and by an official of the Chinese church, the Rev. Bao JiaYuan, the director of CCC’s training programs.
Ms. Chung is returning for the fourth time this summer to teach in this English immersion program of the China Christian Council.
